Q: How do I create a profile for my pup?
A: A profile is best created through our web app (and not the mobile apps, sorry!!).
Just goto https://pupsy.com.au/register
Enter your details, hit submit and click on the link in the activation email to activate your profile.
Then login at https://pupsy.com.au/sign-in and navigate to the right hand corner of the screen and choose Edit Profile.

You will be able to upload a cute profile pic, change your profile cover photo and enter all information like your pup’s name, breed, DOB, Age, Council and Postcode.
Plus you can write a cute message for fellow pups to introduce your fur baby to the community.
This information is public by default however you can change this in the Settings (also available through the menu in the right hand corner).
You can also optionally enter your microchip number, vet details, vaccination details, treatment details like when you last gave a tick tablet etc. as we find it helps to keep track of all this info in one logical place! This information is always kept private by default.

 

Q: Does Pupsy track my movements using the GPS signal on my device?
A: No, Pupsy cannot track your device nor publishes your location without a Check-In created by you.
Pupsy uses location services so you are able to Check-In to a location and search for friends or dog services in your area. You can delete Check-Ins at any time.
Pupsy will never check you in automatically.

 

Q: Who can see my Check-Ins?
A: Only your friends (i.e. dog owners you have connected with) can see your Check-Ins, the information is not public and you are in full control via choosing your friends. You can unfriend any of your friends at any time.

 

Q: What’s the difference between the web app and the mobile apps?
A: Our web app has all functionality and you can also use Pupsy on your mobile through your browser just type in pupsy into your browser, Pupsy will be first in your search results 🙂
Our native mobile apps for download are now available on Apple itunes and Google Play !!!
The native mobile apps on Apple and Google do not offer all functionality and should be ideally only used for finding places on the map, check-ins, uploading a photo and statusupdate into the newsfeed or private messaging. The app is not perfect, its been a very complex process, we apologise for the imperfections!! All data created through the web app will be available in the mobile app, so create your profile for your pup today by registering on https://pupsy.com.au/register

 

Q: Do I have to Check-Out?
A: No you don’t have to Check-Out, the system automatically checks you out after 30 mins. If you are planning to stay longer then 30 mins then simply create another Check-In.

 

Q: Can I Check-In in advance or only once I am at the park?
A: You can either Check-In in advance by selecting a date and time or simply choose “Now” which will check you in now.

 

Q: Why can’t I be checked in automatically into the dog park?
A: We fundamentally disagree with tracking our users and want you to be in control at all times. Therefore you always have to Check-In yourself and we will never check you in automatically.

 

Q: Can I create multiple Check-Ins?
A: Yes you can check in multiple times!
Just check in as many times as you like to the same or even different locations if you already know where and when you are playing!
All check-ins will show up in the list and on the map and you can delete any check-ins if you created them by accident or can’t make it.

 

Q: Can my friends who don’t have a dog use Pupsy to follow my dog’s activity?
A: Yes, they can create a Dog Lover profile (create an account and select “I’m a dog lover” on the profile page) and send your dog a friend request.

 

Q: I have two dogs, can I have both of them in my profile?
A: At this stage Pupsy only allows 1 dog profile per account, however you can create multiple accounts (requires multiple email addresses).

 

Q: I have created a Check-In but will be late, what should I do?
A: Please delete your Check-In by choosing the “Delete” button below your Check-In on the list and create a new Check-In with the new time.
We encourage users to be respectful to your friends and cancel Check-Ins if you can’t make them, Pupsy and your friends thank you for it!

 

Q: I have found a bug or have an idea on how to improve Pupsy, what now?
