We attended the Dog Pawty at The Albion Hotel yesterday. It was great fun! Lots and lots of well-behaved and friendly dogs were there, and we had a great time with Mum and Dad.
The downside was that our table had no shade, and it was extremely sunny. We got quite hot, but then Mum moved the table out to provide some shade behind it. That would stop us going there in the summer as it would be far too hot, but otherwise it was a fantastic afternoon!
Love Ella’s comment about the mozzies – so true, even in the daytime.
This park has a walking track up by Cowells Lane itself, where we walk the dogs on lead, and there is an off leash area down the bottom of the park, as Ella also mentioned. It is not fenced but is very popular with local dogs.
Aside from the fact that the gates are not auto-closing, nor are they double gates for safety – and the park opens up to a very busy road which turns on to the M4, this park is bloody fantastic: it’s HUGE; it’s fully fenced (gates being a potential issue, as above); it has a lot of shade; and it has agility equipment.
I took my dogs there for the first time on Sunday, and there was only one other dog there, My boys had the best run around; it was wonderful to see.
