The campsite is situated on the Barrine Peninsula, a short 7km drive off the Gillies Highway and only 20 minutes from the sleepy town of Yungaburra.

Yungaburra, the historic heart of the Tablelands, was established in 1890, and is listed by the National Trust of Queensland.
