THE EXPERIENCE
The main beach runs for 1.2 km from the boat ramp wall to the tip of the foreland at sandy Oyster Point. It is backed by a shady reserve and the main street, with a caravan park on the point. The beach is usually calm and seagrass grows in close to shore. Four low groynes cross the western end of the beach, with good access, parking and facilities along the beach. Best swimming spots are just north of the jetty and along the main beach.
Dogs are welcome off leash on all beaches in Yorke Peninsula (except in National Parks).
