When walking your dogs in public in Holfast Bay Council Area they are required to be on a lead. However, they can be exercised off the lead in all City of Holdfast Bay’s reserves but must be under effective control at all times.
1. Jack Chaston Park

This little park, found in the backstreets of Brighton, is littered with beautiful local fauna that seems to be plucked right out of a book. With a walking trail through the park, you can take your dog for a few laps around the park while you soak in nature.
2. Angus Neill Reserve

3. Seacliff and Brighton Beaches
Both beaches boast some of the best views of the Holdfast Bay coastline. The beach is littered with many cafes and eateries for you and your dog to enjoy a refreshment or two. During daylight savings, dogs can be off-leash between 8 pm, and 10 am. As long as your pup behaves themselves, they can run freely without a leash during non-daylight savings time.
