Didn’t walk that much of it, but the section near Long Jetty is very beautiful. Especially at sunset. Parking is available all along Tuggerah Parade. Picnic tables and BBQs as well. Boardwalk near Saltwater Creek Park is worth a look

Huge off leash section of beach. We parked at the bottom of Bondi Road. No facilities and the sea was quite rough. Nice place to have a run though

Terrigal lagoon – can’t wait to go back!

Off leash is south of Surfers Rd all the way to Terrigal Lagoon. Good long stretch of beach.
If you or your dog prefer calmer waters, then Terrigal lagoon has good swimming options.

One of our regular haunts. Could be a bit bigger (Jubilee Park is on leash), but having access to the harbour is great. The water can get really dirty though, especially after rain.
Off leash walk can be extended by following Johnston’s Creek to Smith, Hogan and Spindlers reserve.

Big rambling park. Difficult to work out exactly where the off leash sections are, but usually plenty of friendly locals to help. Nice little beach at Callan point if you can find it!

Best off leash park in Sydney (although Sydney Park is also really good). Stick to the perimeter and you can’t go wrong. At times it’s hard to believe you’re in the middle of Sydney.
On leash section (inside Grand Drive) is also really nice

Beautiful old historic building. Dogs allowed in any of the outdoor areas, can order from the table via Q code. Tasty pub grub

Large enough park for a decent walk. Although I haven’t seen one yet, I’m always on the lookout for snakes as the grass is quite long. Lots of parking, but no bins or water.
Being able to have a swim is a huge bonus

Beautiful, peaceful spot to camp right on the river. Fantastic place for bird watching. Highlight was definitely being able to swim in the river with Riff!
Only 20 mins out of Nowra, so nice place to explore the area from

Nice clean beach. I found it a little difficult to work out where the office leash section was. Lots of parking along the road or at skatepark. Can combine it with a walk along the boardwalk. Nice spot

Loved this beach! Not massive, but big enough and so pretty. It was the most popular beach bar far that we went to in the area.

Huge stretch of beach! Nice and clean. Access to off leash section, parking and poo bags available just past the basketball courts on Ocean Drive.

Didn’t go into the beach, but highly recommend the walk around Abraham’s Bosom Reserve. Dogs allowed on Wilson’s beach (on leash), so you can cool off at the end of the walk if it’s a hot day

Short, sharp descent to the track, but definitely worth it. Very pretty spot

Thin stretch of beach, but on the river so good for swimming. Fresh water available at northern end. If coming from southern end, entry is via 2 flights of steps.

Loved this beach. Big, clean and really pretty.
Stayed at the caravan park nearby and had the beach to ourselves every day (it was May though)
