THE EXPERIENCE
Where’s Nick is a small dog friendly wine bar in Marrickville.
We’re here to share our love for interesting drinks, challenge the culture of exclusivity and elitism in the wine world, and encourage people to think about what they are drinking and where it comes from. Our list favours small producers, sustainable farming and minimal intervention winemaking. By way of introducing a little more nuance into the conversation around natural wine, we like to list unassuming or lesser known producers who may fly under the radar of the current zeitgest alongside the cult and collectable superstars.
Wine should surprise and delight, so leave your assumptions at the door. Dogs are welcome on the terrace or by the window tables inside. Remember to compliment your glass if vino with one of the amazing Roo Chews for your furry friend.
WHAT’S WITH THE NAME?
Founded in 2017, Where’s Nick began as a family dream. Two brothers misguidedly approached their youngest brother Nick about coming on board with a fun little bar project. Nick quite reasonably pointed out that he’d never expressed any interest in owning a bar, wanted nothing to do with it and kindly asked them to leave him out of it all together. Which they did, for the most part. Except the name, the logo and the giant painting of Nick as Napoleon.
