Valley Views Cottage is a rural dog & pet friendly property and a destination for those who want to be surrounded by nature and enjoy mountain and valley views. It is only suitable for access by 4WD or high clearance vehicles.

Enjoy cooling off in the creek on summer days or bush walking up the mountain track to breathtaking views.

Valley Views Cottage is private dog friendly cottage with its own deck with countryside views, outdoor dining table and inside the cottage a comfortable lounge with dining table and large sized bedrooms

The property was built using rocks and timber sourced from the property and is a rustic and quirky building set amongst mature gardens and lawns. The space is cosy yet spacious with two large bedrooms, a bathroom and an additional outside shower, toilet and laundry.

There is comfortable lounge area with a big screen TV with satellite connection and a wood burning stove for the winter months. The kitchen is fully equipped with Smeg appliances with oven, microwave, dishwasher and a 4 seater breakfast table.

Outside area includes a Hooded 4 Burner BBQ, outside dining table and a private deck overlooking surrounding countryside.

Guest access

This is a remote location, there are no local amenities within 45 to 50 minutes drive.

Access to this property is only possible by 4WD or high clearance vehicles. No town cars.

You can park inside the fenced area at the cottage where there is a carport suitable for one vehicle without roof rack.

The last 6kms of the unsealed road is in places a single track cut out of the valleys side where you might need to reverse for an oncoming vehicle. Not suitable for trailers or caravans.

Other things to note

Things to do: Cool down and Picnic by the creek, picnic basket, ground mat and fold out chairs are available for guest use.

Or take your dog for a walk at the forest track to the cascades which flows through the summer months with its own day use / picnic area and cool water pools.

For walking enthusiasts there is a 4km return well defined trail that leads to the top of the mountain, where you will find breathtaking valley views along the way. There is also a rustic table and bench at the top where you can stop for for a breather or picnic lunch.

Suitable walking shoes are needed for the walks on the property including to the creek. The creek is a great spot to cool down on hot days and there is a grassy area suitable for picnics.

If you want to do nothing you will be comfortable being surrounded by nature in peace and quiet. The only sounds usually being an abundance of birds, on some occasions you may hear a neighbour mowing the lawn or similar rural sounds.

If you love stars then you are in for a treat on clear sky nights… there is no light pollution so look up and enjoy the gazillion stars in view.

Note: We have got wifi connected but being a satellite service it has metred usage. It’s suitable for emails and general internet browsing but not for streaming movies in HD settings as the connection gets used up with streaming and then slows down. 

If you need to make phone calls then you will need to have a phone that enables wifi calling and then you can call through the internet connection. There isn’t any other phone reception.

There is a selection of beaches within an 1.5h drive from the property.

If you would like to book with young children they will need to take care as its a rural property and there is uneven ground and places that you could fall.
