Sandpiper Beach is the main public beach for the increasing Swanwick and Hazards View communities. During peak hours of the peak summer season the beach is busy and dogs must be on a lead for public safety and social equity

Outside of the peak hours dog owners may walk their dogs off lead. However, owners should return their dogs to a lead as required, to avoid potential conflict with other beach users or when shorebirds are sighted nearby on the beach
