Blackwattle Bay Walk | Dog Friendly Walk
THE EXPERIENCE
Distance: 5km
Difficulty: Easy (with some steps at the bridge)
This is one of the best and most scenic dog friendly walks close to the CBD. Start from the Federal Park (A) off leash area and follow the shoreline towards Glebe Point and Blackwattle Bay Park (B). Stop for a little playtime with your furry mate and continue towards the Fish Market (C). You can stop again at the Wentworth Park off leash area or continue towards the Anzac Bridge (there is a pedestrian ramp at the end of Saunders Street). Cross the bridge and go down the steps to Sommerville Road (D) and continue walking along James Craig Road (E) until you reach Railway Parade at the end of the bay. Follow the bay foreshore until you get back to your starting point at the Federal Park.
Alternative Route:
In stead of crossing the Anzac Bridge you can continue (from the Fishmarket) to dog friendly pub Lord Wolseley, have a drink with your furry mate and head back the same way.
