Redfern & Eveleigh are vibrant inner city suburbs full of dog friendly pubs, bars and cafes to visit with your dog. Prince Alfred Park is a great place to take your dog for a walk & play and we can highly recommend The Redfern or BrewDog for after play drinks.

1. The Redfern

106 George Street

The Redfern boasts a true-to-its-name Public Bar on the ground floor. The façade has been entirely transformed with teal tiles and stained timber frames around the windows looking out to the streets of Redfern. Dogs are welcome inside the Public Bar and of course on the outdoor seating areas that are partly undercover.

2. BrewDog South Eveleigh

BrewDog is a craft beer haven dishing up the full BrewDog range of headliners, special release beers, 2-4-1 Vegan Monday’s and All-You-Can-Eat Wings. Dogs are always welcome to join you for a drink or two 🐶. 

3. The Tudor Hotel

90 Pitt Street

Situated on the corner of Pitt and Redfern Streets in Sydney, with the heart of the community right at the doorstep, dog friendly pub The Tudor Hotel offers a great local experience for those that live, work and play in Redfern. Two legs or four legs, it doesn’t matter, everyone is welcome inside at this cozy neighbourhood pub! The Tudor Hotel even has a dedicated refreshment station for dogs with fresh water and treats! The human menu has had a recent refresh and it surely is worth a try.

4. The Noble Hops

125 Redfern Street

The Noble Hops is a dog friendly pub in Redfern specialised in craft beers! Hard to find local & global breweries are well represented with unique beers ranging from Sour Ales and IPAs to Dark Ales and Stouts. And in a true craft beers fashion, your pup is welcome to share the experience with you inside the pub.

5. Woolpack Hotel

229 Chalmers Street

Woolpack Hotel is a cozy dog friendly pub in Redfern. This locals favourite offers classic pub meals accompanied with an impressive craft beer list. Dogs are welcome inside the pub to join you for a drink.

6. Arcadia Liqours

7 Cope Street

Arcadia Liquors is a dog friendly bar selling beer, wine, cocktails and delicious toasties with a fairy light lit outdoor courtyard. Definitely a place to check out with your pooch.

7. Scarlet Wiesel

Scarlet Weasel prides themselves on hospitality so if you’re on your own or looking to bump into people you might like, read a book, chew the fat, or take over the music for an hour and shake your pants then you will always be greeted with a warm smile. Dogs are always welcome throughout the venue.

8. The Alex

35 Henderson Road, Eveleigh

Most likely one of the coolest dog friendly backyards in Alexandria. DJs, Happy Hours, Trivias… everything you would expect. Dogs are always welcome at the Backyard!

9. Little Evie

At the dog friendly cafe, Little Evie their passion is coffee with a real emphasis on creating delicious food, baking deserts. Dogs are always welcome at the covered outdoor seating area 🐶

10. Charmed by Redfern

82 Redfern Street

Charmed by Redfern is all about ethical & original coffee, paired with high quality sustainable food in a relaxing atmosphere. Dogs are always welcome on the outside seating area that is covered.

11. Cafe Oratnek

4 Pitt Street

Located next to the dog friendly Prince Alfred Park, Cafe Oratnek is a great place to stop for a coffee with your pup. Kenny Takayama, former Head Chef of Bills, Darlinghurst, had a huge dream as a young start out – that was to one day, have a venue of his own, embodying his own life principles of simplicity, quality and authenticity. Dogs are always welcome at the partly covered outdoor seating area.

Dog Friendly Parks

12. Prince Alfred Park

This 24h dog park has a large central grass area dedicated for an off lead play. As the locals would tell you, it gets crazy with heaps of wagging tails between 4.30pm-6pm so don’t miss the action. Side of the off lead area is protected from the sun by massive trees, which is great for those hot summer days.

13. Redfern Park

Timeshare dog park located in the heart of Redfern right next door to many dog friendly pubs such as The Redfern and The Tudor Hotel. Park is relatively small but large enough for smaller dogs to run around and even the larger ones to have a little wrestle. There is an off leash area next to the oval and at the front of the park and plenty of shade for the warmer summer days!
