The main beach at Port Julia is 1 km long, with the central 100 m long jetty backed by a wooden seawall, and the shacks to the south. A larger freehold settlement sits on the backing bluffs. The beach is 10 m wide at high tide, with 100 m wide sand flats then deeper seagrass meadows

Dogs are welcome off leash on all beaches in Yorke Peninsula (except in National Parks).
