Basin Foreshore Walk | Dog Friendly Hiking in Sanctuary Point

THE EXPERIENCE

This tranquil dog friendly (on lead) walk along the foreshore of St Georges Basin (Paradise Beach to Palm Beach) is a popular short walk. The walk takes about 40 minutes each way, though there are plenty of places on the way to divert your attention for an hour or two. Dogs must avoid Palm Beach and Red Head!

The beaches along the Basin Walk are popular spots for swimming and fishing, or if you’re lucky enough to have a boat, there is access for sailing and water skiing.

There are three track heads for the Basin Walk. Greville Avenue leads to access points at Palm Beach Reserve and at Macleans Point, whilst Walmer Avenue provides access to Paradise Beach Reserve. Both reserves have car parking, picnic and toilet facilities.
