ABOUT US
Dad and the Frog Café began with a simple goal: create a local café in Surry Hills where people could enjoy great food, great coffee, and a welcoming atmosphere without pretension. From day one, we have focused on consistency, quality, and making every guest feel looked after.
Since opening, we have grown into a recognised name in the Sydney café scene. In 2025, we were proudly named Best Café at the Local Business Awards. We also won Toby’s Estate Local Legends in 2024 and were named runner-up in 2025. These milestones reflect the support of our local community and the work of a team that genuinely cares about what we put on the table every day.
At Dad and the Frog Café, we believe a great café experience comes down to the details. That means using local ingredients, preparing food with care, and creating a space that feels easy to settle into, whether you are grabbing a quick coffee, meeting friends for brunch, or sitting down for a long lunch.
Our menu is built around dishes we are proud to serve. We make our sauces, relishes, and jams in-house, and we brew Madding Crowd specialty coffee for guests who care about quality in every cup. We are open seven days a week for breakfast, brunch, and lunch, and we are also fully licensed, with wine and cocktails available for those wanting something more.
