FROM Elwood Beach 

TO The Milton

DISTANCE: 10min walk

Head just few minutes south from St Kilda and you will arrive to the beautiful Elwood Beach that welcomes dogs off leash at certain times. Take in the street culture through the graffitis, skateboarders and eateries or simply enjoy one of Melbourne’s most beautiful seaside spots. After a splash & play it’s time to head to Elwood’s best dog friendly pub, The Milton. Located less than 10 minutes away from the Elwood Dog Beach, it’s a great place to have that after play drink with your pup. The Milton even invites dogs indoors!


FROM West Beach & St Kilda Harbour 

TO West Beach Bathers Pavilion

DISTANCE: 1 min walk

It won’t get much better than this combo! Dog friendly bar, West Beach Bathers Pavilion is actually on the dog friendly West Beach. Two dog friendly beaches, West Beach & St Kilda Harbour, are both located only a few pawsteps away from Albert Park and main St Kilda Beach. TO Republica

DISTANCE: 1 min walk

The one and only iconic St Kilda Beach is dog friendly between April and October, which makes it a great winter time playground for the pups loving the water. Enjoy the vibes and take in the fresh ocean breeze while your furry companion makes new friends to play with. After the play, head to the dog friendly beach bar, Republica St Kilda. Don’t miss their daily specials on the menu and live music on weekends!

TO Tipsy Cow

DISTANCE: 20 min walk

Think clean golden sand, 24/7 off leash beach and views of the pier and St Kilda. That’s what to expect from the dog friendly Port Melbourne Beach. It’s a great spot for small or large pups to cool down and have a play. Dog friendly bar, The Tipsy Cow, is located about 20 mins walk from the beach. There are two great 24h dog parks on the way, Gas Works Park and Lagoon Reserve, which makes the walk enjoyable for both you and your pup. At The Tipsy Cow, the resident dog Nisha is waiting to welcome you both into their dog friendly courtyard!

TO Vince & ME

DISTANCE: 25 min walk

XL sized Altona Dog Beach is 24h off leash beach with shallow waters and wide sandy plains. Grass area next to it gives you and your pup some safe distance from the Altona Road in case the excitement takes temporarily over! Altona Dog Beach offers great panoramic views of the bay and the city skyline. Vince & ME is a few minutes car ride away but it’s surely worth the drive. It’s local owners Maryanne and Vince have made the place look and feel amazing and the best part is that it is dog friendly. Food is great and has something for everyone. Definitely worth trying after a play with your pup!

FROM Aspendale Beach

TO Boatrocker Brewers & Distillers

DISTANCE: 10 min drive

Aspendale Beach is a long stretch of soft sand and calm waters. The distinctive colourful boatsheds have been photographed at least a million times and share across the world. After a play head inland towards Braeside and visit a dog friendly brewery, Boatrockers Brewers & Distillers for a refreshing ale or two with your pooch!

FROM Sandown Street Beach

TO Brighton Schoolhouse

DISTANCE: 20 min walk

At the southern end of the Sandown Street Beach is the large Middle Brighton pier. Off leash area of the beach is completely fenced off and combined with usual calm waters it is a great places for even a little less confident pooches. There are three other dog friendly beaches (timeshare) close by: Middle Brighton Beach, Dendy Street Beach and Brighton Beach

Set amongst the trees and gardens on the corner of St Andrews Street and Church Streets in Brighton, dog friendly licensed cafe, The Brighton Schoolhouse is the perfect place to catch up with large groups of friends, mums or just to escape from the hustle and bustle of work for a quick bite.

TO Larsen & Co

DISTANCE: 10 min walk

Sandringham Harbour is a 24h off leash beach with lots of sand to run around particularly during low tide. After a splash or two treat yourself with a glass of wine and some Scandinavian delights, such as Smorrebord at the nearby dog friendly licensed cafe Larsen & Co.
